our values

our commitment to you

we are committed to the highest standards in everything we do both as an organisation and as individual operatives

quality assurance

we are committed to ensure that all those engaged by the company (whether directly as employees of LEC, subcontractors or specialist consultants) are aware of our stringent standards

all those engaged to work for and on behalf of LEC are subject to a robust induction programme and will have demonstrated that they have the relevant skills, qualifications, knowledge and experience to carry out the work in a way that upholds our standards

we are committed to the principles of continuing professional development and actively encourage all LEC employees to undertake regular and relevant training

we work with ISO consultants Aviso who provide ongoing advice on operational practice relating to ISO standards and
all products, materials and equipment used by LEC are sourced through industry recognised and auditable sources

only CE certified products are used

all work undertaken by LEC is overseen by an appointed project manager who conducts a quality check and sign off at each agreed stage including the use of testing, certification and pre-delivery inspection reports as/where appropriate

following the successful completion of each project, we undertake a debrief to understand the outcomes and ongoing requirements in order to maintain continuous improvement

the environment

we are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our operations. We strive to strike a balance between the safe, effective and efficient undertaking of projects and the use of practices and technology aimed at lessening the impact of our operations on the environment. Some of the ways we are addressing our practice are as follows:
  • encouraging employees to consider modes of transport which minimise the impact of carbon emissions
  • where appropriate (and not detrimental to the ability of LEC to maintain its highest customer service levels) partial home working is offered in order to reduce the number of commuter journeys undertaken
  • transportation to and from site is via company vehicles and always restricted to the minimum number of journeys required
  • detailed project planning is undertaken so that all relevant materials and equipment is available on site from commencement, thus reducing the need to undertake additional journeys
  • constantly monitoring our energy suppliers to ensure the energy we procure is from the most sustainable sources
  • LEC’s headquarters are located adjacent to a running water source and we are investigating the viability of developing a water wheel power generation system which would enable us to be a carbon neutral operating base at some point in the near future.

we have recently undertaken an initial Business Carbon Calculator Assessment and based on the outcome we are continuing to consider measures that seek to reduce our environmental impact including committing to a deforestation scheme that will offset our ‘carbon footprint’

health, safety and wellbeing

we are committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment and place the health, safety and welfare of our employees and all those who may be affected by our work and activities, as primary in everything we do

the directors and senior management team have invested in, and are committed to creating a culture which promotes positive health and wellbeing practices and a working environment which supports the achievement of those principles. They are committed to making sure that adequate health and safety management arrangements exist by ensuring that:
  • a suitable Health & Safety Policy is in place and reviewed annually
  • all aspects of the policy and subsequent procedures are implemented in order to meet the company’s statutory duties and all current legislation
  • all managers, supervisors and employees comply with the policy
  • all adequate resources are made available to enable the company to meet the requirements of the policy
  • a plan is established to promote continuous improvement of the Health & Safety systems and procedures
  • risk assessments are regularly and routinely conducted and documented to assess the risks of all activities undertaken by its employees and appropriate control measures are introduced to reduce risks

we utilise the services of an experienced H&S consultant who reviews all relevant policies and working practices and ensures all improvement plans are developed and maintained

we are currently accredited as an approved NICEIC contractor
